Ms. Varsha Verma : Ms. Varsha Verma from village Piplai , district Khargone , ( Madhya Pradesh ) came for training to the Barli Institute in May 2012. At that time she was only 10th pass and had left formal schooling. During the six month training at Barli , she realized that importance of education and it’s transforming power. She decided that she would stay at Barli and resume her studies. After the six month course , she enrolled in the open school exam for 12th standard and studied hard to pass these exams . She successfully passed the 12standard exams in 2013. She again decided to stay back at Barli , teaching health to the new trainees and at the same time enrolled for graduation ( Bachelor of Arts degree ) from the university in Indore in 2014.She completed her three years graduation in 2017 . Although there was lot of pressure from her family to discontinue her studies , get married and settle down , she stood her ground and convinced her parents that she would also do post graduation. She enrolled in the Master of Arts in Sociology from Indore university. Although , due to family pressure , she had to return to her village but she has not given up her studies yet. She has cleared the first year and is currently studying in the final year from her village itself. She is a role model for all the girls in her village and is the most educated in her family. Even her brothers who had left school long back , are inspired by her strong will power and determination. Varsha encourages all children in her village to attend school, to plant trees , to stay clean and to visit the doctor regularly . After returning back to her village , Varsha also worked as a teacher in a school in the remote tribal village Loharia , for six months. There she got an opportunity to teach young girls in the age group of 7 to 11years. She shared all her learnings of five years in Barli with these young girls -teaching them how to read and write , basic mathematics , health , motivational stories and devotional songs . This experience as a teacher has made Varsha more committed to continue her studies and open her own school someday. Varsha plans to be a registered teacher after she completes her post graduation
